Perfect poem of compassion for the cancer patient/friend in your life is expressed simply and lovely in this touching greeting card.
Outside:
You just happen to have cancer
It does not mean that you are going to die tomorrow
You are the same person you were before you knew
Now we both know, You just happen to have cancer
I am sure that you are scared, Yet you will do what you need to do
You are still the same person. You just happen to have cancer
You may remind me of my own mortality
But I need to be your friend now more than ever
Inside: You just happen to have cancer I may not know what to do or say
At times words are not necessary You just happen to have cancer
You need to make up your mind that you are going to be just fine
You just happen to have cancer. We will get through this together
We will take it one day at a time. We will fight back with attitude
You just happen to have cancer

About This Brand: Kathy Honey-Murphy is the creator of Cancer Girl card concepts. Kathy was diagnosed with Stage 3A Breast Cancer in 2011. She underwent a double mastectomy, reconstruction and many rounds of chemo and radiation. During her experience Kathy was told by physicians she was going to be fine and a good attitude helped immensely. Finding having a good attitude did help, she chose to find a little humor in a horrible thing. She began calling herself Cancer Girl and posting humorous observations on Facebook. She quickly learned that if she laughed, it put others at ease and they more readily spoke of her illness and asked questions - it was no longer the elephant in the room. Many of Kathy's cards are from personal experience and she feels that if you can laugh or smile a little it can make things better in the long run. She hopes her cards can do just that for all cancer patients as well as provide support and understanding. Today, Kathy is cancer free and is enjoying making her line of cards and gifts to lift cancer patients spirits!
