We shall never forget last year! Not in the wildest of dreams did we ever expect to be a year in the making of SurvivorRoom. The original plan was three months designing and filling our site and then we would be taking orders and feeling like big e-commerce girls. A year later we are just now offering our site to cancer survivors all over the world and hoping that it is received with as much excitement as we have presenting it.
Much of the thanks for researching and bringing our collection together goes to Jacqui. Her enthusiasm in the hunt for product and the joy she took in meeting the manufacturers, many of them small business owners just like us, has made it a labor of love. Often we would just laugh after seeing people that inquired about how our "website" was going and say "They just think we are two crazy women!" Perhaps that is somewhat true!
The journey was made much easier by our great team in Oklahoma City led by Marc Barker, owner of Aeternitas, Inc. He brought with him Rob Smith of RS Design and Tony Jenkins of Web Vision Hosting. They spent many hours on conference calls with us explaining what we could and couldn't do. They even had to tell us we had gotten "too big for our britches" and Tony had to move us to a larger cart. That was when we knew it was not a three month project. Marc's vision and calm guidance will never be forgotten. We thank our team!
Please look our site over and give us your ideas about how we can improve our presentation, product mix, and make it more fun. We want everyone to make our Celebration Room their space by filling it with personal pictures to inspire other survivors.
